On August 27th, Lorde performed at the MTV VMAs.

In early August, it was revealed Lorde would be performing at the 2017 MTV VMAs, along with being nominated for three awards. On the day of the VMAs, she came down with a fever. Instead of performing, she danced to her song "Homemade Dynamite".
